feed Karipidis Estate

The Karipidi Winery is a family business in Vounaina Thessaly in central Greece that manages 30 hectares of privately owned vineyards. Vounaina, as declared by its name (small mountains), is a hilly area with tradition in wine making. The village expands around the farms of ancient city of Krannona, near the springs of ancient river Ogchestou named after, according to mythology, the son of Poseidon.
The Winery is at a very close distance to the Pinios river, which passes by the valley of Tempi, having Mountain Olympus, famous in mythology, on the left and Ossa on the right.
The vineyards, which are registered in a institution for inspection and certification of biological products, are being cultivated exclusively with methods of biological agriculture. The soil is clay, rich in organic substances with a non solid subsoil with nice drainage.
